The education systems of today produce the workforce and entrepreneurs of tomorrow. The Freshwater Coast Community Foundation is chartered to make investments to improve our schools and our educational processes. Our region – Abbeville County, McCormick County and Starr-Iva area of Anderson – is ripe for business development. We are here to help businesses launch their enterprises and promote continuing education for them to succeed. Cultural enrichment and the arts enhance the quality of life in our region. Our support will allow for cultivating a vibrant imagination among our people.
As the members of our community grow vigorously, so does the community itself.
Our goal is to create an Entrepreneurship-Friendly-Community (EFC). We are here to promote youth entrepreneurship for growing the community leaders of tomorrow.

The Freshwater Coast of South Carolina is an amazing place where people enjoy authentic Southern cuisine and outdoor activities. Like any other place, it capitalizes on the opportunities and peculiarities for attracting and supporting the new business opportunities. We are here to ensure that a unified region becomes successful in the attraction and retention of business/industry. Through entrepreneurial education, the Freshwater Coast Community Foundation seeks to encourage and sustain an enhanced business environment for the creation of wealth within our rural communities.
